To give in-depth insight into our current tour programme of motets by JS Bach and his eminent predecessor, Johann Christoph, SK artistic director Jonathan Sells chats to Professor Stephen Rose (Royal Holloway), Dr Bettina Varwig (University of Cambridge), SK alto Nathan Mercieca (PhD Royal Holloway) in a wide-ranging and entertaining discussion.
As we are revisiting Bach's St John Passion BWV245 (1725 version) for Holy Week, Artistic Director Jonathan Sells reflects on Passion and themes of sacrifice, compassion and love in the tide of corona:

We performed the St John Passion last year at Wigmore Hall and would like to share Scene I from our performance at the Bachfest in Leipzig in June last year. By subscribing to our YouTube channel, you'll get notified of new clips we will release throughout Holy Week.
